KEN HALL

KEN HALL, President

Over the past 30 years, Ken has pioneered comprehensive and affordable insurance programs for church and Christian charitable organizations across Canada, including the Church Protection Plus Property and Liability Insurance program. With over 7,000 client organizations currently insured across Canada and almost 14,000 insurance claims paid over the past three decades, Ken has unparalleled experience and expertise in identifying, reducing, eliminating and covering risk through effective insurance protection for Christian charities and their leaders.
His company and staff work closely with over 40 national church denominational and professional associations, including a 23-year association as the recommended source of insurance protection for member organizations of the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities (CCCC). Ken also serves on the steering committee of Plan To Protect, the most highly recommended and utilized abuse prevention plan for youth and children’s serving faith organizations in Canada.
Through conference speaking engagements, seminars, workshops, webinars and publications such as his Facing The Risk newsletters and The Advantage Church and Charity risk management articles, his commitment is to educate, equip and assist board members and ministry leaders in better understanding the unique risks associated with Christian ministries in the 21st century and to provide practical advice in avoiding preventable claims, accidents, injuries and lawsuits.

JUDI SMETZER

JUDI SMELTZER, Church & Charity Program Underwriter

With over 25 years in the Insurance Industry, Judi has extensive experience in all aspects of General Insurance; from Personal Lines protection, including Home, Auto and Group Insurance; to Commercial Insurance and Office, Personnel and Process Management. She has also had the opportunity to be the founding director of a Christian Charity through its launch, infancy and early years. Judi enjoys working with Churches and Charities on a daily basis in a professional capacity as a Registered Insurance Broker and Specialty Program Underwriter. For the last decade, Abuse Prevention, Risk Management and Underwriting have been her key areas of specialty in her role as Church and Charity Program Underwriter at Robertson Hall, where she shares her experience and expertise with board members, pastors and children’s and youth ministry leaders, and also shares in their passion in accomplishing their mission and purpose.

FAITH KESTLE

FAITH KESTLE, Marketing Manager 

Faith has been a part of the Church & Charity Protection Plus Team for almost a decade.   Over the years she has served in various roles, initially as an Administrative Assistant and more recently as a Customer Service Representative Broker, helping churches and charities with their insurance needs.   Faith also worked closely with Ruth Bell in launching the ACCESS Outside User Group Insurance Program and overseeing its growth as a benefit to our Protection Plus Members. Faith’s experience in each position has provided her with a broad understanding of both the practical and risk management aspects of insurance for churches, camps, schools, missions organizations and other charities.  Most recently, Faith’s focus has shifted to Marketing and she now assists and organizes conferences, social media relations, new risk management articles, website updates, and setting up polices for new client organizations. Faith is also very active in her local church having volunteered in both Children’s Ministry and Music Ministry for over 15 years.  She enjoys working with church and charity leaders to find them the best coverage for their properties and ministries , and to provide practical risk management and safety advice for their programs.
